Eu Manzanares

Actress and playwright. A graduate in Acting from the Eòlia school, she continued training in different techniques and disciplines at other schools and centres. She also trained as a playwright at the Obrador de la Sala Beckett. From 2015 she began combining her facet as an actress with that of playwright. Att he end of that year she premiered her first play at the Teatre Tantarantana, Una paret blau-cel. At the start of 2017 she premiered Deixalles at the Teatre Eòlia. In the year 2018, her third text, Idoti Iranti, was selected by the AADPC for the Staged Readings Series, winning a Tisner Grant and premiering at the Llevant Teatre in Granollers in early 2019. Finally, in December 2019, she premiered Lo Nuestro at the Sala Flyhard. She has also written audiovisual and film scripts, such as the short film HUMMUS, selected at various festivals, such as Mecal, the Cerdanya Film Festival and Madriff. Since 2015 she has formed part of the theatre company La Peleona, and in 2018 she created a small producer of audiovisuals and shows, Producciones de la Pradera. This year she was one of the winners of the Carme Montoriol Grant for Playwriting awarded by Barcelona City Council, with the collaboration of various theatres in the city. Towards the endof 2020 she will participate in the 10th Temporada Alta Playwriting Tournament.
