Screening of “In the Company of Men”, written and directed by Neil Labute

In 1997, American screenwriter, playwright and director Neil Labute released his first film, In the Company of Men, which paints a stark and uncompromising portrait of two cis businessmen who, resentful of women, decide to carry out a plan to get revenge on them: to look for an insecure woman, fall in love with her, and abandon her at the same time. The film, which achieved great critical success, was shown at the Cannes Film Festival and the Sundance Independent Film Festival, winning the Filmmakers Trophy. It also won other awards at the Deauville Film Festival, the Independent Spirit Awards, the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, the Society of Texas Film Critics Awards, and the New York Film Critics Circle.

The screening of the film will be followed by a talk between Neil Labute and Iván Morales, who has just premiered his first film as director, Menja amb mi.
