Workshop

Workshop with French dramatist Constance de Saint Remy

Dates
From 28/03/2025 to 29/03/2025

In the context of the current edition of Fabulamundi. Playwriting Europe, on March 28 and 29, the French playwright Constance de Saint Remy will give a dramaturgy workshop to the members of the current edition of Els Malnascuts. Taking advantage of the fact that this edition aims to carry out a stage creation based on the classical tragedy Medea by Euripides, Constance de Saint Remy will propose several writing exercises around this work and classical tragedy in general.

Constance de Saint Remy will come to Barcelona accompanied by a group of French dramaturgy students, who will attend a performance of Pau Miró’s Expulsió and participate in the workshop proposed by Saint Remy at Els Malnascuts.

Constance de Saint Remy is a playwright, author and director. After her university education at the Sorbonne-Nouvelle, she was part of the 6th class of the École du Nord, under the direction of Christophe Rauck, from which she graduated in 2021. Her play M. in China/Made in Marilyn was staged by Mikaël Serre at the Théâtre du Nord. In 2021, she was one of the winners of the Prémisses program. Her play for young people, D’où vient le nom des roses, was published in 2022 at the École des Loisirs. Later, together with Timothée Lerolle, she signed the dramaturgy of Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita and, with Guillaume Vincent, she created Vertige (2001-2021). She was also in charge of directing her play, Lettre à une deuxième mère, which questions the legacy of Simone de Beauvoir and which premiered in 2023 at the Théâtre de l’Athénée in Paris.
