Course description

This course proposes a space for investigative research, to extract the maximum potential for playfulness, imagination, and risk within the stage material.

We will work on textual materials, but also with actions, spaces, music, silences, images and proposals from the participants themselves. The aim of the course is to train a wide-ranging stage view: understanding that the actor is not a separate element from the whole, but an active part within a larger architecture of relationships, tensions, and languages.

I am particularly interested in creating a space where performers can allow themselves to try, make mistakes, fall, move outside their comfort zone or lose control without the immediate pressure of the result. A space for training in confidence in the process and for discovering that, often, the most interesting things appear when we stop wanting to do things.
