Aina

Aina’s parents feel guilty: their pre-teen daughter is not quite the determined person they would like her to be. However, their jobs give them no respite, and they cannot devote as much time to her as they would like. They feel that they are losing the close relationship that they had with her. As a result, they will try to make an unexpected journey the turning point to get her back, but they will discover that the girl has already learned to survive on her own terms…

Presentation

There comes a moment in life when you discover that your children no longer see you as a demigod and that, deep down, you are a little disappointing for them. But also there comes another in which you realise that they are not your reflection and that they no longer depend on you, and that perhaps you have not even managed to transfer your values to them… You also feel disappointed. This painful yet necessary recognition is at the heart of this play and serves to explore an essential aspect of being a parent and of growing older: breaking with expectations.
