Cristina Cordero

She holds a degree in Dramatic Art, specialising in Dramaturgy, from the Institut del Teatre. She has also trained at numerous specialised seminars at the Obrador de la Sala Beckett. She is a regular collaborator of NUS Cooperativa, with whom she has premiered the forum plays #1000likes, És de conya and Monòlegs a la plaça, among others. As a librettist, always with Òpera de Butxaca i Nova Creació, she has premiered the contemporary operas Dido Reloaded and Go, Aeneas, go!, the last winner of the Berliner Opernpreis and premiered at the Neuköllner Oper in Berlin. Both works could be seen at the Teatre Lliure in Barcelona. She is also the author of Voraç bellesa, premiered at the Grec Festival. Following a line of new dramaturgy, with the live visuals company Atzur, she premiered the show PLA-DUR at the Antic Teatre, and has also received grants such as the Ajut Benet i Jornet 2024 from Sala Beckett or that of resident artist at Arts Santa Mònica, where she created the play Séance while researching participatory dramaturgy, a line that she has continued to develop in the play Auca de com els que estaven als nostres peus van aconseguir alliberar-se’n, premiered at the Teatre Tantarantana.
